Our name ”Acura” combines the syllables ”acu” from acupuncture and ”cura”, the Latin word for cure. Therefore, ”Acura” implies curing by acupuncture.　

The great inventor Thomas Edison famously said:

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest her or his patients in the care of the human frame, in proper diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

Our ultimate goal is to be able to make the leap from ”cure”　all the way to ”care”　so that our patients can maintain their health through a well-balanced lifestyle.

Thus, our practice continues to grow, not from patients who repeatedly need to come back for more visits, but from patients who are able to gain lasting results through lifestyle management.
