Information for Overseas Patients

Information for Overseas Patients

Our clinic has over 20 years of clinical experience and welcomes many international patients visiting Tokyo.
We provide acupuncture care based on both traditional East Asian medicine and modern medical understanding.

We understand that visiting a clinic in another country can sometimes feel uncertain. Our team strives to provide clear communication, thoughtful care, and a comfortable experience for all international patients.

While acupuncture is generally most effective when performed regularly, we are happy to provide treatment even if you are able to attend only one session during your stay in Japan.

Fees

Initial Consultation – 3,300 JPY

The initial consultation includes:

  • A comprehensive review of your medical history and current health concerns
  • An individual assessment based on both Western medical knowledge and traditional medicine principles

The consultation and intake process typically takes approximately 30 minutes.

If you plan to complete the intake forms at the clinic, please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Please note that we do not perform diagnostic tests such as blood tests or imaging at our clinic.
However, we are happy to review any medical reports or test results from your physician and incorporate this information into your treatment plan.

Acupuncture Treatment – 8,800 JPY

This fee covers the complete acupuncture treatment session, including treatment tailored to your individual condition.

Treatment sessions typically last about 60 minutes.

Director Treatment (Optional) – Additional 3,300 JPY

Patients who wish to be treated by the clinic director may request this option for an additional 3,300 JPY per session.

What to Expect at Your Visit

A typical visit to our clinic includes the following steps:

1. Intake and Consultation (about 30 minutes)

You will complete a medical intake form and discuss your health concerns, medical history, and treatment goals with the practitioner.

2. Assessment

We perform an evaluation based on both Western medical understanding and traditional East Asian medicine principles.

3. Acupuncture Treatment (about 60 minutes)

Acupuncture treatment is individually tailored to your condition.
Most patients rest comfortably during the session.

4. Post-Treatment Discussion

After the treatment, we will explain our observations and discuss recommended next steps if additional treatment may be beneficial.

After Your First Visit

Following the initial session, we may discuss a recommended treatment plan based on your condition and goals.

For many conditions, acupuncture works best when treatments are performed regularly over time. Patients who continue treatment are commonly advised to receive:

  • 1–2 treatments per week
  • Treatment for approximately 2–3 months or longer, depending on the condition

However, if you are visiting Japan for a short period and can attend only one session, we will still provide the most appropriate treatment to support your health during your visit.

Follow-Up Treatment Fees

  • Acupuncture session: 8,800 JPY
  • Director treatment: additional 3,300 JPY (optional)

Depending on your condition, we may recommend nutritional supplements or herbal medicine as part of your treatment plan. These options are entirely optional and will always be discussed with you in advance.

Please note that nutritional and herbal support typically requires time before noticeable benefits can be expected. As we do not ship supplements or herbal medicine internationally, we only accept patients who plan to stay in Japan for at least two months.
